The Temomi is a 100% handcrafted sencha just like it used to be. Temomi are produced for two occasions, either demonstrations or competitions. The one we are proposing was produced by Yasuhiro Sumida, the younger brother of Yoshirou Sumida, the only Japanese to hold the title of Eternal Master of Temomicha. This tea obtained the first prize in the national Temomicha competition in 2021. Here are its notes and characteristics:

Cultivar: Yabukita

Appearance: 49 - Leaf color: 30 - Odor: 38 - Liquor color: 38 - Taste: 38 (Out of a total of 50 points per criterion)

Dose of 5g kept in the refrigerator at all times. To infuse like a Gyokuro in small quantities, in a 10cl teapot, ideally in a shiboridashi, with water at 70 degrees. Use the entire sachet for an infusion. The tea can be re-infused 3 to 4 times and the leaves can be eaten, for example with Ponzu sauce or soy sauce.
