COMPETITION TEMOMI
Temomi from cultivar Mieuejima, produced at the national Temomi competition, from spring harvest leaves produced in Mie in the Kansai region, near Kyoto. This Temomi obtained 72nd place out of nearly 150 teas presented. Only 400g were produced on this occasion. We chose this Temomi for its quality of course, but also for its very affordable price which allows you to discover such artisanal wonders.
Temomi is a hand-rolled sencha on a table heated to almost 50 degrees. The leaves are rolled and kneaded for nearly 6 hours so that they reach their level of drying and their magnificent pine needle shape. It is an ancestral tea like sencha were produced hundreds of years ago...
