GOLDEN DIAN HONG ORGANIC CERTIFIED

Superb black tea from Yunnan composed of young leaves and entirely downy buds. The flavors are honeyed and slightly animalic. The very large presence of down will give a very velvety texture to the liqueur, with a lot of sweetness.

Dian Hong is a type of Chinese black tea originating from the Yunnan province. “Dian” is a reference to the region of Dian, the ancient name of Yunnan, while “Hong” means “red” in Chinese, referring to the reddish color of the tea leaves when brewed.

This tea is often made from young leaves of tea plants grown in the mountainous regions of Yunnan. The process of making Dian Hong usually involves picking the youngest buds or most tender leaves, which are then dried, rolled and fermented before being dried again. The result is a black tea characterized by a mild flavor, sometimes described as caramelized or honeyed, with hints of cocoa or honey, depending on the variety and processing.

Dian Hong is valued for its rich, complex flavor and pleasant aroma. It is often consumed alone or with a little sugar or milk, although many tea lovers prefer to enjoy it as is to fully enjoy its subtle nuances.

Infusion advice: Spring water at 95 degrees, 5g of leaves for 30cl, 1 to 2 minutes of infusion. You can make multiple infusions with this very long-lasting tea.
