HUNAN EMERALD ORGANIC CERTIFIED 2024
Green tea from spring 2024, harvested during the month of April. This tea is produced in the west of Hunan province, on the border of Guizhou province.
Also called Green Diamond in Europe, or Lu Bao Shi in China, it is a tea that stands out for its excellent value for money, when it is very fresh, which is the case for this batch that we bought, harvested in the spring, and stored here in France in a cold room. It is an excellent value for money because it is not one of the great Chinese green teas that are highly prized, it is thus in a way "underrated".
The leaves are rolled into balls, almost like an Oolong, or in a way a luxury Gunpowder. The result is floral flavors, less exuberant than Oolong, Tikuan Yin for example, and which blend perfectly with the more classic flavors of high-end Chinese spring green tea.
Infusion advice: Low mineral water, spring water or filtered water, temperature around 75 degrees, 1.5g per 10cl, 1 to 2 minutes of infusion
