Porcelain is light, resistant (despite popular belief), offers precise tolerances and high precision. It is a perfectly neutral material as opposed to raw clays which color the taste of tea.

When making fragrant teas like high mountain oolongs, the porcelain acts as a mirror to reflect all the aromas and tastes of the leaves. In our experience, porcelain gives the best results and is often found in the equipment of experienced tea masters.
