RUBY OOLONG
"The gourmet tea par excellence"
The very dark rolled leaves indicate that this tea belongs to the category of very oxidized oolongs. After infusion, we feel the notes of oxidized leaves very present, evoking stewed fruits and gingerbread. The liqueur is of a very beautiful coppery color and invites you to quickly test it in the mouth. The gourmet notes of fruit are present, with a good length in the mouth. We will appreciate multiplying the infusions to bring out the quintessence of this tea which will then deliver all its promises. By extending the infusion time, we will also appreciate a very slight welcome astringency. A rich and gourmet tea, a great gateway to oolongs!
Our Oolongs come from the village of Doi Mae Salong, in the mountains of northern Thailand, on the Burmese border. Former poppy production areas, these lands are now dedicated to the production of high quality tea. Although the plantation with which we work does not have European organic certification, we are reassured by the tests we carry out and the confidence in the farmer when he promises us that these teas are produced in a natural way without pesticide treatment.
