JUN CHIYABARI J116 SUMMER FLUSH '24 CERTIFIÉ BIO

"A superb value for money for lovers of sweet and fruity Himalayan black teas"

An excellent summer production from the Nepalese garden Jun Chiyabari, which produces some of the best teas in the country. The whole leaves are oxidized at almost 80%. The flavors are fruity and sweet with very little bitterness. We will find a lot of roundness and length in the mouth.

Garden: Jun Chiyabari, Nepal. Created in the early 2000s, this "avant-garde" garden was created from 0 by the 2 brothers Bachan and Lochan, who are in search of perfection for the production of the best Himalayan teas.

Altitude: 1850m on average

Harvest date: Mid May 2024. The production number is J116. The numbering of the production batches of the Jun Chiyabari Garden follows the same principle as in Darjeeling, each batch is numbered, for example the first batch of the year is numbered J1, and so on J2, J3, J4. Several batches are produced each day, and nearly 300 batches are produced each year.

Brewing tips: 1.5g per 10cl, water at 80 degrees, 2 minutes of infusion

As with all our teas, we recommend using quality water. Quality water will be water with very little mineralization. Check the dry residue on the label of the water you want to use, a value between 20 and 100mg/L will be suitable. That said, this is not an infallible rule, some waters at 130mg/L work well (Volvic) while others below 100mg/L have less good results. A fairly famous and cheap water is the source of the Grand Barbier that you will find at Carrefour.
