SENCHA ZAIRAI ORGANIC CERTIFIED
“A soft, vegetal sencha with character”
Sencha "Zairai" produced in Kagoshima in the south of Japan, in April 2023.
Zairai means a tea plant planted from a seed. This means that it is a unique individual whose parent plants are not known. Thus, each tea plant is an evolution of its parents, unlike tea plants with identified genetics taken from cuttings of a mother plant, which are clones and individuals that are all identical.
How to brew Sencha:
We recommend heating weakly mineralized water to 70 degrees. It is also recommended to use a 35cl Japanese Kyusu teapot and to measure approximately 6g of tea for 35cl. The infusion lasts approximately 90 seconds.
